Asia, Thailand, Phuket, Hotel-hopping with Barameehip Resortel and Baramee Hotel, in Patong Phuket

Phuket offers a huge number of boutique hotels, The Barameehip Resortel and Baramee Hotel in Patong are two of the newest and cleanest options. Also they won't break the budget..
Located in Patong, very near to the beach, The Barameehip Resortel and Baramee Hotel are both owned by the same company, so very similar in hotel set up and design.

At the (nicer of the two,) Barameehip Resortel ceiling-high large paintings in the foyer walls are on display with tiny tungsten lighting bringing a deep orange and gold mood to the room, and showing off Thai icons and flower art. Giant flowerpots sit in the middle of the room and enormous Asian lampshades finish off the look. The room interiors have picked up on the same décor with bright block colours detailing bed accessories, artwork, lounge and a feature wall contrasting the stark anal white of the other walls, flooring, linen and lamps.  A trendy long horizontal mirror opens the room up, and sliding doors leading to a small balcony bring much light inside. The Baramee Hotel is the cheaper version, so includes the same décor, but with perhaps one less lounge (i.e. no lounge.) Both have TV's and air-con and simple, but clean and western WC's and showers. The complementary toiletries are what you'd expect in any budget accommodation, nothing fancy but very fine.
Both hotels enjoy a restaurant to offer continental breakfast, and pool to splash in. Massages are also on offer within the hotels, and why not wander to the nearby J... shopping mall, which is walking distance from both. Here, you will see lots of modern shops and décor as per any western shopping mall. Patong has many Bazaars so if you're after a more Thai shopping experience - bring your bartering skills with you. Regular shuttle bus trips can take you to the Patong beach for a cooling swim if you're nicely hot from a typical Thai day.
What I love about Phuket is how the tourist industry has picked up on the boutique trend of modern cities from the west and incorporated their own Thai-chic. Typically exclusively tagged to everything expensive, in Phuket you will find hotels, garment shops and (my fave) artist galleries encompassing the boutique trend as seen in big city hotels, bars and restaurants. The difference here is that you can be surrounded by this new luxury-looking style at a ‘reasonably affordable.'
A stay at either the Baramee Resortel or Barameehip Hotel means a stay at best of new budget-boutique stays in Patong. A great place to retire to at the end of a Thai infused day.
